Orlando Attractions

If you visit Orlando and coming back saying you were bored, you probably went to the wrong city. This Florida vacation destination is so loaded with attractions, you will find yourself running out of disc space on your digital camera and trying to remember who made the best cotton candy. You can spend your entire vacation (and many do) in Disney World or Universal Studios Theme Park. While some think Disneyworld is for the younger crowd and Universal is for a bit older visitor, thrill seekers and lovers of big special effects of all ages will love both entertainment giants for their own specialties. SeaWorld is worth at least a day of your time, with ample chances to view creatures large and small from the sea. SeaWorld also puts on some amazing water shows, featuring Killer Whales, Dolphins and their trainers. And since you are in Florida, make a stop at Gatorland, to page homage to this ancient creature that still captures our imagination (and hopefully not one of your appendages) with its ability to withstand thousands of years of evolution all around it. They are just plan creepy, and you need to see them.

Orlando Events, Entertainment & Things For Kids

There are plenty of parks all around the Orlando area, you won't be able to miss them once you get here. For a day away from the whirling tea cups and dizzying hulks, check out the Harry P. Leu Gardens and the World of Orchids. Both gardens are gorgeous and don't smell of fried food or fish. At the Orange County Regional History Center you can find out about the rich history of the Orlando area, before the big mouse made it his home. The Cornell Fine Arts Museum and the Orlando Museum of Art are great places for an indoor respite and to gain a little culture while in the midst of giant spinning objects with seat belts. There's also the International Trolley and Train Museum for a little slower ride, and to satisfy the weirdness in you, take a look through the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Orlando Odditorium. And you thought the gators were creepy.
